Miss Embrya
That's too easy!  How about paraphernalia?  I have an older sister, although she says I'm the only child, lol.  She was a life long natural, but now she's permed out.  The show was "Baby, I'm Leaving you for your Brother!"  Of course, male on male.  No Jerry beads, but it was so much fun!  As far as NP...my days are lessening .

Are you clarifying?  deep treating?  using the gel daily?  It can be a bit overwhelming.  Have you tried leaving out the IC and just using the Cactus?  I totally understand what you're going through and like Natakue said, that's how it starts.  Let us in on your routine, and maybe some hair pics and we'll work it out!  :stir:

Jazzi, thank you!

It's funny you mentioned those things...last night I washed with mild shampoo (Oyin's grand poo bar) and did a DT.  This morning I rinsed, conditioned, and sectioned the leave- in through and nothing else.  My hair feels 1000% better :). It was dirty, I think, and that gel didn't help matters.

I'm still working on the moisture factor though.  Any suggestions would be great.  I'm indifferent to CG (I use what feels good to my hair) so I won't rule any products out.  I do generally avoid 'cones and sulfates. Usually when my hair gets this dry I use my Baby Buttercreme ( ::) I know, contains mineral oil and is very heavy-- but it works), but since it builds up quickly and I don't like to shampoo too often (2-3x/ month), I usually use it at the end of a wash cycle.

I've been lazy 'bout the pics. I'll update pretty soon.

The only thing that keeps my hair moist is no styling products or cones.  I wish I could be more helpful but maybe the other ladies can chime in.  :'(

Ok ladies, I'm ready for the challenge.  I will not purchase or swap anything related to my hair until im out of everything :celebrate:\

Are yall still with me or did you chicken out? :P

Jazzi, I'm ALMOST with you  ;D I'm still waiting on my Qhemet stuff to come in, I'm debating on one Curl Junkie item (maybe two), and I need suggestions on a good deep treatment.  Other than that, I will be all yours, because the frustration is getting to me anyway.

Now, we can still get our staples, right?

I'm in.  I have all I need to start.  I guess I will start washing my hair daily to use up this stuff faster.

And hopefully I will have saved enough money to splurge on a jar of Baby Buttercream.

Haha, Blaqpearl, I'm using mine now for a twistout.  It's worth the bucks.  You'll have it FOREVER!

Speaking of forever-- Jazzi, do I have to use this stuff all up?  I've had it a year...and it's not even 1/8th gone!  Oh, Lord, what have I gotten myself into?

cr8tive, fight it!! this is the way i think about it when i get coupons for any store and don't need anything (like express or victoria's secret discounts)...i just think about how they're always sending me coupons, so i'll just get it another time when i actually need it. it always works out. good luck!  :2thumbsup:

as for me...ok, i'm ready! count me in on this challenge! i, too, want to know what it's like to run out of stuff. ok, here we go...day 1... :)
trying to catch up after being m.i.a. for 2 years. dang, there are a lot of posts!

I'm learning not to take it personally when other people's crazy is showing...it's not my problem.
