Curls Whipped Cream
« on: January 21, 2007, 07:52:45 PM »
Ok, Ok, so, I strugged with my initial trials of the reformulated product (and I didn't particularly care for the original version), but wow, I used the sample again wed/thurs/fri and I was surprised as all get out to have great hair days each time.  I'm going to say, you just need to experiment with it to figure out what's the right amount to use and applying a small amount in smaller sections across my crown really helped (3 instead of my regular 1 section in the crown).   I looked fluffy and sheeny and was very soft to the touch upon completely drying and still defined at the same time.

I've still got to work out the second day hair thing like I did with BB products, but, that's not going to take away from my rating.

I will say, that this is definitely something I would purchase as a backup product when I don't want to/or can't mix up something.

First off it has a great smell to it! Second, it is a heavy cream, that I mostly reserve for use during the Winter Season. I first apply Curls Quenched as a base with this product, before I apply it to my hair. Third, I take small amounts of it emulsify it in my hand first and then evenly distribute it all over my head. In the end, I am left with more elongated, shiny, and deeply hydrated curls.

I think that it is the perfect Fall/Winter time styling product for my hair, but during the Summer and Spring months this product would definitely be too much for me to use on a daily basis. Which is the only reason why I rated this product 4 stars instead of 5.

4 Stars

Excellent cream styler, that smells yummy. Can also double as a skin moisturizer(for those that haven't tried it that way). Gives me a natural look and hold. My hair is also 'bigger' when I use this, the opposite of many others who say that it elongates their curls. I get the opposite.  :)Isn't as concentrated as the original, which means I have to use alittle more. And since it is thicker, it's better suited as a fall/winter cream(though it can be used in the spring if applied w/wet hands and watered down).

5 stars.  I have the new and old versions and both are great!  I use it for protective styles and out hair.  Smells great, spreads easily, and works every time.  This product delivers.

Excellent product.  Keep the frizzies away.  IMO, not that heavy.  Guess I'm just use to shea butter.

4 stars. Smells amazing and keeps my hair from getting frizzy. But it seems to encourage shrinkage on my hair. I use a small amount over my activator gel for hold and to keep my hair from being too "juicy".

Loving it but I think I have the old formula. I think it's going to be a holy grail, especially in these colder months.
