Trader Joes Nourish Conditioner
« on: January 30, 2007, 11:18:23 AM »
4 Stars...I really enjoy this conditioner.  It is really like Elucence and so much more affordable.  I wont give it 5 stars because I dont have a Trader Joe in my state.  But it condishes great, provides moisture and has great slip.

Please come to Florida.

4 stars

Very comparable to Elucence as far as slip and detangling go. Not as moisturizing for me(doesn't leave hair as soft as Elucence), but the price makes it a better buy. I believe I paid around $2.50 for a 16 oz bottle.

This is a 5-star for me.  It's just as good as Elucence for my hair and much cheaper, and at $2.50 a bottle, I can't complain.  Plus it smells nice too!  I use it for my co-washes.
Finally free!  Natural since 4/16. Penspring to pencil-sized coils, waves and squiggles.

This used to be a hg for me, but the PJ started up and I totally forgot about it.  It's great for the price and I would compare it to both Elucence and Giovanni.  4.5 stars!

Well I tried this one and the other the Essential conditioner.  I remember it working great.  Well both did but I had a horrible allergic reaction  :disappointed: to the Essential conditioner and threw both away.  So I will give this one 2 stars and if the Essential one ever comes up I will give it a negative star because of my reaction.

I'll give this 4 stars. I took off 1/2 a star for the fragrance. It's not bad but I'm not totally in love with it either.  I also deducted another 1/2 star because I have to add oil or coconut milk to make it a tad bit more moisturizing.

Other than that, it's great. I like the price, the offline availability and it does give nice slip and detangles well.

I'm not sure if it would completely replace my Nature's Gate Jojoba as a co-wash, but may be nice in rotation with it.

Going with 4 stars on this one.  I love it as a detangler, the slip is amazing next to elucence for me.  The scent is, eh.

5 stars! I cond. washed with it this morning. Holy moly!  :o It's comparable, if not better than Elucence!

I got some in a trade. There are no TJ's in my area. I might have to relocate.  ;D

Giovanni Smooth as Silk shampoo ingredients are very similar to the Nourish Spa conditioner ingredients (minus the sudsing agents). Does anyone know if there is a Giovanni cond with similar ingredients? The SaS cond. ingredients aren't the same...  I will gladly pay a few bucks more for the Giovanni version.

Giovanni Smooth as Silk Shampoo
Aqua (purified water), Rosemary (Rosemarinus Officinalis) Oil, Valencia orange (citrus auantium dulcis), Mango (Mangifera Indica), Lemongrass (Cymbopogon Schoenanthus), Ginkgo Biloba (ginkgo Biloba), Echinacea Angustifolia (echinacea Angustifolia), Willow Bark (Salix Alba), Sea Kelp (macrocystis pyrifera), Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), Soy textured protein, Grapefruit (Citrus Grandis), C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate (coconut derived), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycol Stearate, Dimethicone, Vegetable Glycerin, Polyquaterium 10, Olive Oil, Diazolidinyl Urea, Octyl Methoxycinnamate (Sunscreen), Sodium Chloride Sea Salt, Citric Acid (corn), Fragrance with essential oils

I got it, I tried it, I love it...why oh why can't I have a TJ in my area??? 4 stars

ETA: Gonna leave it at 4 stars because it is a great detangling conditioner, but the perfume has got to go...lol.  I had to add a little something to it to overpower that scent.

4.5 Stars. This is my HG Co-wash. Leaves my hair soft, healthy and defined. The only reason why it doesnt get 5 stars is because its a horrible leave in :'(

I'm gonna have to be the oddball here...I only give it about 3 stars. For co-washing, it didn't give me the slip I'm used to with Elucence. In fact, I tried it again this week (I tried it last year) while waiting for my Elucence to come and the slip was not great at all. However, I think it does still provide moisture so the next time I use it I'm gonna just add some coconut & castor oil to it and use it as a deep conditioner.

But till my elucence comes I'm gonna just have to rinse with water.
