Fuzzy hair
« on: March 10, 2007, 11:49:40 AM »
Does anyone have one piece of hair that just stays fuzzy no matter what you do to it?
at the back of my head towards the left i have a piece of hair that just stays fuzzy, I'll do my hair distribute my products evenly, sometimes even more putting more on that piece and it just stays fuzzy.
does anyone else have this problem or know how i can stop it?
other than that, i love my hair  ;D

That would be my crown section.  There's a roller's worth of hair that stays frizzed out.  The only thing that handles it is a heavy butter based product or gel.

Since posting i have used the BB  kick for curls and it seemed to help quite a lot, I'm seriously loving BB products i used the HN today and instead of being a 3b/c my hair looks more 3c all over

Blended Beauty products do increase the curl/spring in the hair.  That's why so many people get shrinkage with it, but they are good products.

Yeah i definetly notice that my curls are more springy since i have been using the BB products, I can cope with the shrinkage i get it's not too much, and makes my hair look better - to me anyway and usually my mama who always has something to say about my hair has only had good  things to say since i have been using BB products

The crown section for me as well. I don't know WHAT it is about that sectiton. I wore a wash and go yesterday and it looked great. I decided to just wear my hair out with no clips, headbands or anything. And that section frizzed up so bad. :( It was almost standing straight up.

I've been trying to get out of the habit of pinning that section back because I do that so often and it stretches that section of hair to the point where it's damn near straight. My boyfriend's mom, who is a hairdresser, told me I should try to just wear it out without pulling it back all the time, but it always frizzes up.

I'm learning not to take it personally when other people's crazy is showing...it's not my problem.

My back/crown section does this. If I were doing a roller set it would be the side roller furthest from my ear. Near the 3rd or 4th roller in the center. It is a giant fuzz ball. No matter what I put on or do to it, it just frizzes into Brillo. It's also shorter than the rest of my hair and it's the section that broke off after my last relaxer.  ???

Right above my ear on my left side.  At first I thought that maybe since I sleep on that side, that's why it's always fuzzy.  I find that that section looks best when I have my hair in a puff or gelled back.  if left alone, it looks like a bad hair piece in my head. :-\

I hear  that most people have fuzzier hair along the crown but my crown is the spot where I have looser/silkier curls. (Weird ???)
Instead, I have fuzziness on the exact areas where my head lays while Im sleep. (The top two sides next to my ears and the sides). I used to be lazy about wrapping my hair at night, but I HAVE to because my texture in these ares are changing due to wear and tear from sleeping. Does anyone else get this type of "damage" /fuzziness from sleeping on your curls?

My crown is my headache.  Curls milkshake or Spiral cream combats this problems.  Oh, yeah!  I forgot gel..IC knocks it right out.

yep, my crown

I have a love/hate relationship with my crown.
Right now we're love birds again
Soon, we'll be enemies
We've been in this vicious cycle ever since I transitioned

I have a homemade hair butter that I use (shea, cocoa & mango butter) that helps keep my crown really smooth & manageable :)

My crown is looser and absolutely the bane of my existence.  Fuzzy to all hell.  I have started tying my hair down with a silk scarf, not just using a satin bonnet, and that decreases the amount of fuzz.
