Hey, I found a whole bunch of products in the downstairs bathroom ( for some reason i just "store" them there when i no longer want them) and came across "optimum oil therapy dry hair healer" and "Profectiv strenth n shine shimmering oil sheen"I used to put them on my hair when i tied it back for work, but haven't ever used them when i leave my hair curly and haven't used them in over a year, they're both nearly full and i hate to waste money but don't want to use them if they're not going to help - sorry for the dumbass questions it's only recently that i discovered hair products aimed at black hair aren't always moisturising or as good as they're made out to be, just wondered if these two were safe?
What are the ingredients?
If they both have mineral oil/parrafin I'd ditch'em
the Profective stuff has:Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Isobutane, Propane, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermim Parkii (Shea Butter), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Buter, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Oil, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopherol Actate, Lanolin Oil, Phenyl Trimethicone, Butylparaben, Propylparabe, Zea Mays (Corn) Oil and BHA and BHT, Fragrance. the optimum shit has Paraffinum liquidium/mineral oil as the second ingredient, so thats going in the trash! funny how they describe it as something to " deeply moisturize without greasy build up" I think i have vague memories of my hair looking greasy when i used this, which may be why it has been sitting collecting dust for a year!I'm going to go through all the stuff and see what else i find, if it has mineral oil in it, it's going.
