Anita Grant Rhassoul question
« on: April 06, 2007, 02:06:24 PM »
I hope this isn't a dumb question, i looked at the site and can't find an answer and i threw away the leaflet that came with my samples.
Is it possibly to make a mixture and freeze it for future use?  I use coconut milk and after a week I had to throw the rest of the can away as it was going bad so I know it wouldn't last a month, it was almost a whole can and I hate waste.

Hmmm, that's a good question.  Did you try e-mailing her?  She's usually pretty good about responding within a week or so.

As an alternative, does your local health food store have those little mini-cans of coconut milk?  They are like 2oz or something.  Might have to hunt for it at a few different places, but it might be worth it if you can't freeze the mixture.

Haven't emailed her yet, figured i'd get a quicker response if i posted here first and was hoping someone might know.
I hadn't thought about the local health stores, but will look when i'm next out shopping.

Have you tried refrigerating or freezing the left-over coconut milk in small ziplock baggies or those little round plastic tubs? I do that after I open a fresh can and the coconut milk stays "fresh" until I've used it all up. Take the frozen milk out of the freezer, the day or two before you want to use it and let it thaw slowly. If you keep the milk in the fridge, just let it slightly warm up to room temp, an hour or so before use. (Don't micro or use heat. That canmake the milk curdle.)

When I have leftover coconut milk I just pour it into a plastic ziploc bag and toss into the freezer.  Works like a charm!
Finally free!  Natural since 4/16. Penspring to pencil-sized coils, waves and squiggles.

Thanks for the replies, I guess when i next use the rhassoul I'll freeze the left over milk rather than the actual mix.
I'll still email her though to see if it's possible to freeze the mix.
 thanks guys  :)

You would think it could be frozen seeing as though so many other things can be frozen and preserved.
Currently in serach of the best conditioner so I can go Bohemian.

Finally loving my curls and not apologizing for it.

Thats what I was thinking but rather than just assume that it would be ok i wanted to check first rather than spend time and effort making the mix putting it in the freezer and then when i want to use it find it has split or it didn't work too well then I'll have wasted good products for no reason
I did email her in the end but haven't heard back yet
