Ecostyler Protein Gel
« on: April 28, 2007, 03:42:09 PM »
I have seen this at the BSS countless times.  I even picked it up once and was turned off because of the color. So I was checking out Kinkerbelle's album thinking what everyone else does: "Damn, her hair is beautiful!", when I saw she uses and really likes this gel.

In her pics, the gel appeared to give her hair control without sacrificing the volume so I thought why not? I wanted to go to the BSS anyway  ;D  I picked up this gel and some Sta Sof Fro (which was recommended to me by Jazzi over a year ago and I finally learned how to use it  ;)).

I applied about 3 quarter size amounts of Ecostyler over a mixture of PM The Conditioner, Sta Sof Fro and water.

Right away, the curls were looking really good.  But my hair was wet and the real test for me is when it's fully dry. Once it dried completely, I fluffed it out a bit and really liked what I saw.  My curls are shiny, really soft and the volume stayed exactly like I like it.

Great discovery Kinkerbelle.

I'm putting my fotki togeather now.  I'll post pics soon.

I went and got that gallon size gel bucket the day I saw that avatar! It took me a minute to get my application right since im heavy handed with the product but it may be my salvation this summer since im have about 10 weddings to go to all around the country!!! I will probably just take a bottle of SSF w/ me and not lug an extra bag of luggage for my hair products...DH and I may actually be able to share 1 suitcase...ok maybe not, shoes are still an issue

Yay Gabbyc!  Glad it worked for you.

I'm telling you.  It's an awesome alternative (as long as you use it with a good moisturizing leave-in) and cheap too (and that really makes me happy)...

And Jazzi is a frickin' wealth of info...walking encylopedia she is!

The brown one is the one Kinkerbelle and I use.  I have never used the clear one, so I'm not sure how big a difference there is, sorry.
