I think it may have had more to do with murumuru being a more expensive butter, in comparison to shea butter, and harder to find. There is only one place that sells it online, and they are expensive as hell and has gone up considerably over the last year.  If it was really about it being too greasy, she could have lowered the concentration of it in the product, because all butters have the potential to be too greasy. But I digress.  ;)

Well.... I'm just relaying what the owner of BB told me.

On the other hand, you might be "more right." Murumuru is more "exotic" and therefore more expensive. I speculate that her chemists may have told her that shea is "just as good," yet cheaper.
Type 3a/3b BSL, fine, color-treated hair. Naturally curly and happy for about 6+ years.

In comparision to the old version, this one is not as thick and creamy.

Well... I suppose "thick and creamy" can be subjective.

My jar of BB Happy Nappy (w/ shea) is thick and buttery. I could compare it to shealoe - and say that my HN is sightly thicker than the shealoe.

I'm still wondering if you got the wrong product in the HN jar. I while back, I read an article about product tampering, in a beauty magazine. Some manufactuers were concerned that some dealers/distributers were adulterating products, to stretch their profits.

If I were you, I'd check into that, before giving up on NH.
