Qhemet Honeybush Hair Tea
« on: April 20, 2007, 02:02:01 PM »
The only product I've ever used that allowed my hair to stay moisturized for days, even through dry styling!  Light, effective, and the smell is to die for!  This may take alot of things out of my product stash.  5 stars!

I give this stuff 3 stars!

This product always did work fine for me when the weather was cold outside, but during the warmer months, before the end of the day, I would get frizz with this stuff, never fail.  It has very good moisturizing qualities to it, and it does give a soft hold to your hair, as well.

I'm with Jazzi.  5 Stars!

This product is light, extremely moisturizing and the smell is niceeeeeeee!  It can be paired with other products and it doesn't flake or leave cottage cheese in your hair.  The only drawback (for me) is ordering online.
Keeping it simple.

After more time and being on my 2nd jar of this product, I'm realizing it's not worth $14+S&H...I go through it way too quickly.  It's a fantastic moisturizer, but it's not economical for me. 3 Stars

I gave this 2 stars.  This stuff looks like Curls Goddess Glaze and that did not quite work for me.  My hair is thicker than what this gel can handle.  It was very thin in consistency.  It disappeared in my hair and it did not look like I had really put anything in my hair.  I am not sure what it is, but it made my hair feel rubbery/plasticky in a strange way.  I was aiming to wear my hair down, but it looked too crazy so it is in two fuzzy pigtails.

I will see how it dries to comment if it remains soft.  I cannot speak for the shine right now, because it still looks a little dull to sheeny.  My hair is still a little wet, but I am not holding my breath on this one.

And lastly, if you like a citrusy smell, then this is for you.  It smells sort of like lemons, but milder.

I love the smell, but it eventually made my hair dry and stiff when I did twists. 2 stars

My hair defiantly laughs at this gel, although it did smell very nice. 1 star

I agree, especially with the bolded. I loved the smell, but the results weren't worth it.

I'd give this stuff 4 stars! I took one off, since the jar is smallish, kinda pricey and only available online, for me.

I love this as a 2nd or 3rd day moisturizer. After I spritz my hair with my Lavender Refresher Mist, I scrunch in  a light coating to my ends and canope.

On freshly washed hair it does nothing for me, though.....
Type 3a/3b BSL, fine, color-treated hair. Naturally curly and happy for about 6+ years.

I am currently revisiting the Qhemet hair line.  And this time around it is a charm.  I totally go back on my prior review of this product.

I just used it again and I have much better results.  It added a ton of moisture to my hair, definition, shine, and silkiness to my hair.  It is more like a moisturizer than a gel.  I have used gels in the past and ALL of them have left my hair crunchy or crispy.  And I used this in conjunction with the AOHC and my hair was so soft and hydrated.  I am now on 5th day hair and it is still very soft and moisturized.  I only used about a dime size to 8 sections of hair and that is all it took for my dry locks!  I was not sure if it would do anything, but was PLEASANTLY surprised when it did!

So, I give this product a 5 like all the rest of her products I have used so far!  This will forever be a staple.  It does give a very light hold.
