Organic Root Stimulator Twist & Loc
« on: February 11, 2008, 09:50:38 PM »
After all the time and money I've spent on twist care, I could have just tried this and had a staple.  This product gives my twists the moisture and hold they need for all of $3.  How foolish I feel for not trying this sooner.  :-[

Yes Yes Yes Yes! :cheer:

My New Years Twist out was done with ORS Twist and Lock.  I love this stuff.  Some say it flake, but not for me.  I love it because I don't like wearing the acutal twist (they never look right).  So I twist on wet hair then sit under the dryer for about 10 or fifteen minutes to set them.  Tie them for the night after rubbing some coconut oil on them for sheen.  When I take them down in the morning ...LOVE LOVE LOVE the results everytime.  My twistout last for at least 3 days to a week.

I give it 5 Stars too!

I used to use this for my twists...I can't remember why I stopped either ???.

I used to mix it with some oil and a tiny bit of conditioner to kind of lessen the amount of hold and make it creamier...that I do remember...lol.
extremely thick, kinky, coils and curls that have a mind of thier own.

I just used this for my younger daughters twists!  And man oh man....her twists were sweet!!  They lasted a long time with this.  I liked the hold, the shine, and the moisture from this product.  It could use just a tad bit more moisture to alleviate any crunch.  I am sure you can get other uses out of it too!!  But right now it is dedicated for twists and box braids only.

4 stars. Needs just a little more moisture for the twists/braids.  But it could be because it is really geared toward loc's and too much moisture is not a good thing.

I've used this for twists several times & have had great results with it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I feel like a little something is missing..?? Maybe it could be a little more moisturizing, but maybe I don't use the right leave in under it.
It gives a great shine & good hold. It's cheap. Definitely a keeper.

I had this, but never used it until reading this thread.  Now I use it all the time for my twists.
I gave it four stars b/c I modified it to add more moisture (I added a bit of oil, conditioner, glycerin, and water).  It had just enough hold without being stiff.
I did the BC 11/24/07, a little over 2 years and I'm still lovin' it!
