I got shaeloe and it didn't really smell like anything, to be honest. I used it while transitioning, and it was moisturizing but nothing spectacular. I am dying to try it now that I'm natural.

I scent my butters. Currently I have a palm red pomade (based on palm red butter) and an olive butter pomade made. I think I like the olive butter pomade more than the palm red, but it might just be that I like the scent more.
Best is a pejorative term--it depends on what you want to use the butter for. From the butters I've tested, from least to most greasy (most to least absorption) on skin: coffee-shealoe-hemp-mowrah-red palm-olive-sweet almond. Sal and kokum are hard butters that I use in addition to/in place of wax. My hair likes olive oil, so I knew it would probably like olive butter, and it does.
I'm going to make another pomade or heavy butter mix this weekend.

I love, love, love the sweet almond butter. When I had my twa, it gave me serious curl definition. Hmmm, I have a little left, I'm going to try it and see what it does now. I need to reorder.
