.  She's into entertainment and such, but she's got a hair salon called Legacy Locs.  One of my family members has been going to her for over a year for trims and to get her hair twisted.

I decided not to color anymore because it requires additional maintenance and care...(I am way too lazy).  I am not having any trouble (that I know of), but the permanently colored hair is very dry.  You can tell just be the texture of the colored hair.  I do believe that it "loosens" your coils though but it doesn't change the texture of your hair (coarse hair will not become silkier).  If your hair is already coarse, I think it will feel coarser over time because of the damage caused from coloring.

ITA with the bolded part especially. I colored my hair about 1 year and a half ago and it's finally almost gone. Although I loved the color, it caused me a lot of problems because I wasn't extra diligent in taking care of my hair.

Ironically, when I was relaxed, I colored my hair all the time and never had problems with breakage. Go figure  ???
