I will say that in my honest opinion, wash and go's don't look cute on every hair type or hair volume. I've seen wash and goes that look Michael Myers inspired and I just was not feeling it. Sorry.

But I don't get what she means about people with small curls wearing them defined. I see people frequently who have small curls that are "defined" with no gel necessary.

And from the picture posted, Sophina Brown's hair looks great. So what the heezy is this chick talking about?  ???

I don't at all agree with the OP's friend.  I was just saying I don't agree w the concept that all hair looks good in a wash n go.

Well, since I have these miniscule curls to which she refers, I just have to defer to her wisdom and knowledge of the subject.  ::)

People have to wear their hair in a way in which they feel happy. I've seen styles on other people I wasn't feeling, but that's a personal opinion--everyone else may love it.  Also, I've had styles I thought were hot...until they dried... :-[  Some people will never consider my hair curly--it's just nappy to them (which is fine). There are some who see my kinky texture and think my coils can come only from a twistout (that's okay too). Basically, my hair can't please everyone--it only really needs to please me.

As an aside, I love wash and gos on just about every natural head, regardless of hair type or density, etc., except I haven't loved how they look on many (but not all) texturized, transitioning, or texalaxed heads.

Good point, Chelacious. I forgot to mention that I don't like wash and gos on chemically processed hair, either. I see chicks with relaxers doing wash and gos and I'm always like  ???

ITA, the only thing I would add is I do not like wash-n-gos on unhealthy hair, where the ends are looking split, stringy and shabby.  Some folks just need to be :spanking: because they think that a wash-n-go is just rolling out of bed throwing some water in their hair and rolling out. No fluff, no shaping, no conditioning, just rolling out. I mean they are really easy and low maintenance, but I believe the trick to a successful wash-n-go is proper maintenance at night imo.

Sophina Brown  I love her hair so awesome.  As for me I have small curls and I have a love affair with them, but they are mine and if I do what I want with them then so be it.  Since being natural I have no real issues with my hair it seems others have more issues than me.  Is that strange or what?   I just am tired to deal with others BS and do not entertain lost thoughts.  Forget her in a heartbeat.

Home Girl is Trippin' hard.  Now that I'm Natural I get the looks and stares from co workers because they think my TWA is a texturizer, which it's not.  I have curly wavy hair and my TWA is on the wavy/little baby curls style.  I think why should it matter anyway how people wear their hair.  Sistas have to get that H of their forehead.  I know I love my baby curls.

Before I read the replies, I just don't understand how someone's hair that naturally grows out of the head can be un-natural.

lol im trying to figure that one out.
