Aveda Smooth Infusion Conditioner
« on: December 12, 2007, 04:34:23 PM »
5 Stars, but 10 if I could do it!  :D

I got this in exchange for the Sap Moss shampoo and conditioner I bought.  The Aveda stylist talked me into buying it saying how much she loved it, blah, blah.  Okay, MAYBE I'll like it.  I could always return it if it's whack.

Well, this conditioner is FABULOUS!! :D  Very, very moisturizing and detangles beautifully.  It felt like I could detangle with my fingers! I liked it so much that I left some in as a leave-in.  It's supposed to smooth the hair and eliminate frizz.  I guess it does, but I don't know for sure.  I didn't use it by itself and followed up with a gel.

UPDATED 12/24/07:  I had to change my rating to a ONE, because there is something "off" about this conditioner.  I used it for the second time a few days ago and my hair wasn't looking right. I'm having a hard time explaining it properly, but my hair (especially near the ends) was taking on a "cottonball" or "matted" appearance.  No, it wasn't matted, but it wasn't looking normal either.  I had to rewash my hair to make sure the conditioner was out and used something else.  Thankfully, it worked.

This worked fine the first time I used it, but I think with continued use it will mess with the hair "texture" in some way.  It could be my imagination, but I'm not taking anymore chances.

Svrbrownsuga, see my corrected updated post above.  I changed the rating to a ONE, because it left my hair looking weird.  I won't be using it anymore.  As a matter of fact, I haven't had great luck with Aveda's products since I've gone natural.  I like their treatments and deep conditioners, but that's about it.
