I don't know what your hair type/texture is. But gel won't make curls where there aren't any. Or maybe you need to mix the gel with something else?

As your hair grows your routine is going to have to be revamped. I promise what worked for you almost 12 months ago won't work for you now.

You have more styles than I do. I can only pull off a WAG

African Royale MOM or the spray? MOM left me with a greasy Brillo pad. I have yet to find a decent leave-in or moisturizer on a bss shelf. QP Mango Butter is good for slicking the hair back. But as a styler I give it two thumbs down like a muth.  :yuck:

I have three words for you, girlie: Trial and error!

Lisa I am 100% sure my hair is a 4b. The thing that gets me is, my hair does not clump. Is it suppose to? If I need a trim, could that cause my hair to rebel???

I used the African Royale MOM. I had the spray but I ran out. Now the spray worked wonders on my hair... especially when I had micros! I think you are right about those two products. How long should I try products before I toss them out. I guess I could add some stuff to the bottle to see if I can come up with something that works.

How often do you all think I should co-wash and/or DC my hair? Is everyday to much?

You have to experiment and see what happens. I could prob co wash every day. My hair needs mega moisture or it will dry up and crackle off my head in little pieces.

I'm not really sure what clumping is. :-\ Someone else will have to answer that one.

QC, I think you should consider tex-laxing.   What you're trying to achieve with your natural hair isn't gonna happen with your natural texture.  Texlaxing may make it possible for you to have the curly/wavy hair you want.

yeah you might want to consider a texturizer but be careful because when you dont get the magic results you were hoping for, you cant just do your hair any ol' way :-\
