Herbal Essence Set Me Up Gel
« on: January 29, 2008, 07:55:48 AM »
Wow...I have to add this gel to my arsenal of favs.  Last night after doing the clay treatment on my hair, I added giovanni direct and then did my typical 5 french braids using this gel.   This morning, I diffused it to completely dry and wow...it's soft, defined and I am in love with it.

I hope I can find it in a larger size.

Sorry KIM, it does not come any bigger than the tubes.  I never understood why they did not make bigger sizes.  I tried this and my hair at the time was not accepting something about it.  It could be all the extracts.  It left my hair shiny, but flaky too.  It defines well and softens the curls once scrunched.  But I could not get pass the flakiness of it on my hair.  It could be that I need to use it more in the warmer months vs. the colder ones.

I usually find it costs dollars cheaper at Target than any other store.  It goes for $2.49 there.
3C~medium, s-curls and corkscrews.

Figures  ::)  At least I know I can pick it up when I'm in a pinch or out of town.  It never flaked on my, but I did notice that I need to moisturize MORE when I use it (once a week cowashing may not be enough).
