Trader Joe's Nourish Spa
« on: April 13, 2008, 12:10:05 AM »
I went to TJ today to pick up some groceries and decided to get some Condish too (I love to have a stock pile). Apparently the Nourish Spa as we know it has been discontinued, and they have some new Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner that appears to be half the size, twice the price, and the Conditioner had a bunch of cheap ingredients including Dimethicone! I didn't even get a chance to look at the ingredients of the shampoo, I was so disgusted! I guess I am going to have to find a new staple Shampoo and Conditioner now.  >:(

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! :o >:( :'(

How can they do this? I am not even near a TJ's but that is my #1 conditioner. Gonna have to ask a relative to stockpile for me. FWIW, I heard that it is identical to Giovanni's 50:50, except in price of course ::). Why do they *always* have to go and reformulate, aka mess up a good thing?!?

:disappointed: I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS - I just started using this thanks to all the great reviews here at happy curls and from the nc site.

This is the exact same thing that happened to me with the SUAVE MILK AND HONEY CONDITIONER - I just happened to stumble across some - decided to try it - and it became my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE - little did I know that would be the only bottle that I ever got to use because they discontinued it.

We should definitely do that! I tried to post this to NP too but since I have less than 250 posts there, I can't post to the commercial hair products forum. Last night it didn't look like anyone was talking about this being discontinued. But we need to let them know how this affects a large group of their loyal customers.

They even had a sign up by these new bottles talking about "change is good". I  know I will not be purchasing this new shampoo and conditioner. If they had just raised the price that would have been one thing, but to half the size, double the price, and then fill it full of cheap ingredients, that is just unacceptable to me.

I wrote them already here is their website

Send them an email and see what they say.  This is sad, I checked my location and I did not see any old bottles, oh well. I am glad that I do not use this often so I guess what I have will have to last.  I hate when companies do this.  They lost me.   :(

I just wrote.  We'll see.  The sad thing is that I was there about a month ago and there were plenty of bottles of it.  I didn't get any because I thought, "I have a bottle at home...no need to start hoarding this...it's not going anywhere."

This is pissing me off now because I was going to make that my new staple hair conditioner.
