Africa's Best Kid's Organics Shea Butter Detangling Moisturizing Lotion

I give this stuff 5 stars! It has barely any scent to it, is a faboulous detangler, and a good moisturizer too. And, it works well in both children and adult's hair.

Jilangmartyl here's your answer:

While your hair is wet-part your hair into sections, smooth the lotion onto each section, detangle each section of hair working from the bottom to the top, and then just continue the same steps until you have completed your whole head.

Do you use this alone?  Is it an all in one?  How about build up?

Thanks, some advice though, I would like to try to detangle my hair dry is this better or should I use a conditioner. I do not want to comb it as that is out especially when dry.   The only reason that I am asking this, I like how light the product is and I am trying to see if I can use this a substitue for Qhment detangler as that sometimes becomes to greasy in my hair now that my hair is getting thicker in consistency.

Jazzi, I only use it after I wash my hair, while it is still wet for detangling purposes. But, you can use it everyday as a stand-alone styler too. To style my hair, I use the Africa's Best Organics Texture My Way CurlKeeper Moisturizing Lotion instead. It is not a heavy product, but it is chocked full of ingredients including shea butter. However, it will not leave your hair greasy with loads of buildup.           

When, the weather gets hot and real humid again, then I will see how the Africa's Best Kids Organics Shea Butter Detangling Moisturizing Lotion works as a stand-alone styler. As, it is slightly less concentrated in texture than the Curlkeeper Lotion.

Jilangmartyl, yes you can use this product on dry hair to fingerdetangle and moisturize your hair with on a daily basis. It has shea butter in it, which well help your hair to retain added mositure to it.

This product has the perfect consistency to it where it will not leave your hair oily or greasy. And, you can layer another product on top of it, if need be.

I would have to give this product 3 1/2 stars because it has very superior detangling properities it is not very moisturizing IMO and I really care for the smell but boy it can detangle like nobodies business!

This is a dry hair moisturizing staple!  The ingredients aren't the most natural, but it definitely gets the job done!  I wouldn't recommend using it on wet hair b/c it isn't as effective IMO, but to preserve curls on dry hair, nothing's better!  You can't beat the price or local availability!  4 stars!
