Winning layering Combinations

All too often....we hear about products that don't play well with other products....or products that leave those white chucky globs in your hair when layered with the wrong products.
This thread is about those products that DO combine well with other products! For those of you like myself...I can only DREAM of finding one product that moisturizes, defines, reduces shrinkage, AND is cost effective! So until I find that product (or it is created)..I'm stuck with layering my products to achieve the best result.
So ladies.....
1. What products in your stash layer well with other products (leave ins, stylers, moisturiziers..ect).
2. What products do u layer that give good
a. moisture
b. curl defining properties
c. less shrinkage
d. whatever other effect you can think of.

I've never used any product combos that left w/ white globs. So i don't know if I just put together good combos or if my hair is anti-glob.
I like to layer any ONE of these w/ Aura/Naturelle gel from Sally's or DevaCurl Angell or KCCC:
SheaMoisture
Giovanni Direct
Curl junkie Coffee Coco Curl Cream
One C
Curls milkshake (occasionally)
vo5 S&C
Elucence
Trader joe's Nourish
Knot Today
Regis Design line Olive Oil condish

Curls milkshake
I've been using this as well and it has been working really well for me. Plus it leaves my hair soft

I've never had white globs either most of the time I hear about white globs it has been when people use gel and cream/butter products I don't like gels and luckily so far have escaped the white glob effect..
I usually layer Milkshake with BB Happy Nappy, BC down and out or light down and out.
using this combo I get defined soft shiny hair.
I tried the light down and out with KBB hair milk and it was a little too soft, maybe I just haven't worked out the right amount yet though, but I think I'll experiment a little more with that..

This past few weeks...i've been experimenting with different product combinations (trying to use up some of the stuff I have) and I stumbled across a combination that really works wonders for my hair!!!
I wash and condition as usual...then I apply my shea moisture leave in (diluted with a some water and macadamia nut oil. Now here is the kicker. Remember that Curlisto video where the girl mixed a lotiony product and a gel product in her hands and applied it to her hair in sections? Thats what I've been doing and it's been working REALLY well!!!!!! The two products that I've been using is the Elasta QP feels like silk and the Organics Texture My Way Curl Keeper.
This combo has left me with SOFT, touchable, SHINY...not greasy hair!
ETA pic of hair today....

curls by sisters smith wet set pudding and aveda be curly leave in. PERFECT coils!! i let my hair dry in big twists and then take them out and shake, so i still have shrinkage but it's not all tangled up.
blended beauty silk shake, curl styling butter, frizz pudding and FOTE aloe vera gel. softness and definition, and i style the same way as above.

Since I've been experimenting with different CAGs I've had great results with:
Knot Today (leave-in)
Smooth N Shine Extra Day CAG
Fantasia IC Hair Polisher clear (for a little hold)
and
African Royale Daily Doctor (leave-in)
Long Aid Extra Dry CAG
Fantasia IC Hair Polisher clear (for a little hold)
Both combinations have given me really shiny and soft curls.

The best layering combinations lately have been:
-liquid leave in conditioner
(infusium or watered down reg. conditioner)
-shea butter mixture
-water
-gel
(curl activator/feels like silk)
-creamy leave in
(PM or TIGI MM)
-shea butter mixture
-water

I get great hair day by applying either BC Down and out
or
Curls Curling Creme
over Hawaiian Silky curl activator gel
or
Aveda Brilliant Retexturing Gel..
My hair is defined and moisturized at the same time...
A stand alone product that gives me great hair day is Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner"..
Thanks Jazzi!!!
