Seborrheic Dermatitis

Does anyone else have this condition on their scalp? If so, can you recommend any products that lessen the flakes and itching, other than Rx medications?

Thanks

A friend of mine uses Nioxin. It's supposed to be for thinning hair, but she uses it on her scalp for her dandruff. She washes her scalp with the Nioxin then washes her hair with Elasta QP relaxed hair shampoo.

Nizoral is supposed to be good but I don't know anyone who uses it.

You MUST buy Scalpicin Maximum Strength Anti-Itch Liquid.

I used to have horrible dandruff and an extremely itchy scalp.  I mean patches of white scales that I would scratch so hard and so often that my scalp bled and formed scabs.

I tried every dandruff shampoo on the market including Nizoral.  It helped some but not enough.  I finally went to the dermatologist and the rx strength Nizoral and some hydrocortisone liquid worked wonders.  I soon lost my health insurance and was back at square one.  I went back to Nizoral and scratching.

About a year ago I started using Scalpicin on my scalp every day for three weeks and then only 2x a week thereafter.  I stopped using Nizoral because it was drying my hair out.  Scalpicin alone solved all my problems.  Poof, itchiness GONE!  Dandruff GONE!!  I'm telling you it's an HG for dermatitis.

You can get it at Walgreens or any drugstore for $2.99.

Thanks for the tip reclaiming_my_beauty! I am going to get some Scalpicin tonight. My scalp issues have gotten out of control.

I hope that works well for you!! In the meantime you might want to also try Omega 3 supplements to help "oil" things up from the inside out.  Just check with someone at a whole foods type store and they can guide you - this supplement has helped me a lot after taking it as directed for a few months! Good luck dear!
