Smooth N Shine Curl Activator Gel

Okay after seeing all the threads about hair gels I have been on the search for a new one because although I love Fantasia I thought I could find something better.....enter Smooth n shine curl gel....I used it after applying my leave-in & oils to soaking wet hair and it instantly made the hair uber-soft and the few curls I have peeking out clumped together and the hair is so fluffy and soft the next day. This is definetly a keeper....now to find a gallon jar of this stuff

There was a thread about this gel before, I was looking for it, but had no luck. Any suggestions on where to pick it up, I need to try a new gel!!!

This is definetly a keeper....now to find a gallon jar of this stuff 

LOL.... I so feel ya on this stuff. For the life of me, I can't seem to find it in any of my local grocers, drug stores or BSS.      I tend to stock up, everytime I go to NYC, but it's a bit of a pain lugging all those jars through town, on the subway or cab and then the train. (I buy a bunch of other hair stuff as well..... and that can get heavy.)

Still, I really really really like this CAG. I'll give it 4 1/2 stars!! I use it as a refresher for 2nd and 3rd day, and apply it to damp hair. Makes my curls pop, clumps them back together (if they've separated a bit during the previous day or night) and reduces frizz.

ETA: My review is for the product with Aloe Vera - for xtra dry hair.

This is my favorite gel. It's one of the few CAG that doesn't have proplyene glychol, which my hair does NOT like in high concentrations.  I'm always afraid it will run out, so I buy three jars each time I find it (although I've noticed that it seems to consistently be at Walgreens). Like all gels containing polymers/plastics, it "can" dry out the hair a bit over time, but by adding a little sodium lactate, honeyquat, and silk aa, I've noticed that it works even better in my hair. I also layer it over a good leave-in and a butter sealer. 4.5 stars.

I have the most luck at the grocery store of all places. I'm in the southeast. My local Walmart just started carrying the CAG, and I can always find it at a BSS.
