You are so funny Yellagirlwithcurls!  Thanks for the heads up ;)

lol don't get me wrong it is nice but is it worth $6? hell no... round here ( I think it's made here in the UK) you can always pick it up in cheaper places, kinda like 'big lots' for less than 2 pounds so for a cheaper conditioner yea its good and has a nice smell but I have a feeling you'd be a little upset if you paid $6 for it..lol

I recently tried Karens Body Beautiful Hair Milk.  Its a decent lighter leave in and makes an ok 2nd day styler/moisturizer.  I used it recently when I twisted my hair as a leave in (twisted with blended beauty butter me up) and my twists were uber soft for DAYS.  I just spritzed every 3-4 days and applied to the length of the twists and some butter me up to the ends.  Nice!

I finally wore my hair out today for the first time in about a month and I used the KBB as a leave in under my usual Elasta QP feels like silk....My hair was not happy :(  It might have been because I was lazy and just sort smushed it in rather that applying in sections as I usually do.  I'll have to try again before I can give a good verdict on out hair usage.

Other than that....I havn't been doing much to my hair...its been in twists for the past few weeks.
extremely thick, kinky, coils and curls that have a mind of thier own.

Ok, I see what you're saying.  It's basically like Suave...Decent, but not worth more than $2.

Pretty much, if it cost more than 2 pounds I wouldn't be using it like I do, so for me half of it is the price as much as I do like it if I go on vacation to the States any time soon trust and believe I will be bringing my own or not using it at all as it is definitely not worth the $6 or whatever I'm hearing people are paying for it at Ulta..
but I guess it works both ways some people here were paying over 5 pounds ( around $10) for bottles of suave from mariposa imports  :o
Having used it in the states yeah it was nice but they need to get the hell outta here with that shit... paying 5 pounds for some damn conditioner that costs about what $2?..

LOL I got too caught up replying to Jazzi I forgot to mention my newest product:
Dr Bronners Almond Castile soap...  :-\ kinda unsure about it, I like it to wash my body but it leaves my hair kinda squeaky I've experimented using less/more and always get the same results so think it may be ok for once a week but no more than that

Ladies!!!!!

My sister sent me this gel called SuperGrow Hair Gel from NYC that is off the chain!!!!  It slicks my hair back so smoothly with killer shine.  The texture is like Elasta QP Glaze or Let's Jam, but a bit firmer.  The ingredients are awesome too!  A new holy grail for sure!  :excited:

Ingredients: Purified water, Wild Bee Honey, Coconut Oil, West African Shea Butter, Virgin Olive Oil, Basil, Safflower and Peach Oils, Extracts of Peach leaves, Birch, Coltsfoot, Horsetail, Calendula Blossoms, Rosemary, OnionJuice, Vegetable proteins, Biotin, Allentoin, Panthenol, Natural Glycerin, Na-PCA, Vitamins A, B, C & E, Natural Preservatives and Vegetable aroma.

The Super Grow Hair Gel is an advanced formulation of natural plants, oils, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and herbal extracts that work together to stimulate natural hair growth, prevent hair loss or thinning, and give hair a new inner strength that makes it grow thicker, richer and healthier.

*The directions say to part hair and apply to scalp, and I'll try it for that when I get my hair braided this weekend.

Ooooh.  :-* What is this? Where in NYC did she get it? I've never seen it.

Ingredients look great! But the label in your pic says it has "placenta extracts". Where is that on the ingredients list? Is it hidden?

I love EmpressRi videos! I think her review of Donna Marie Products is right on. You've probably already read my review and CoilsKinksCurls' comments: You are not allowed to view links.Register or Login

Coils and I have have somewhat different textures, so maybe that helps. There are more videos on YouTube too.

I'm on my third jar of CocoCurly Butter, and I really like it. Like Empress said - all products are measured against my KCCC holy grail for me. I my wash and style my only hair once a week, and I need something to hold me out. Nothing else like KCCC gets me through the 6 day cycle from Day 1 Hair Out to Day 6 In a Bun. Donna Marie comes very close. It gets me through 6 days with very little frizz and good hold, although the "curl quality" is a little different than with KCCC. It's still a keeper though. And the jar lasts just as long as KCCC.

The other product I really loved was the Spiral Smoothie, which the company no longer makes for some reason. I bought the last jar on AfroKinks a month ago. It was like one of the Blended Beauty styling lotions.

Now, the only negatives I will say about CocoCurly Butter is:
- It over defines and leaves a crunch - just like KCCC. If you like that, cool. If you're into soft hold, then use less or scrunch the crunch out when it dries by applying a butter.

- Something about the formula is inconsistent, although the styling results have always been the same. Hard to explain. The first sample I bought in summer was the original formula. It was more like a salve. The next 16oz. full size jar I bought was a bit looser, but still almost like a orangey brown salve. The following new formula jar was more like a orangey brown jelly (but not slimy like KCCC), and became a bit watery towards the end of the jar. The jar I am using now is the same. BUT EmpressRi's jar looks creamy, thicker and whitish. Hmmm.....I know the products are handmade, and the results can be off, but it makes me wonder.  ???

The Ultimate Detangler sample I got in summer was a runny and I didn't think it was all that. Again - my KC Knot Today is the measure for detangler/leave ins. This did not compare. EmpressRi's bottle looks like a thicker formula, so maybe I will retry.

The Lock and Twist sample I got was blah for me. Soft hold and chalky residue when I tried it. Other people have had better experiences with it though.

Haven't tried the Honey Jelly stuff though. Looks like what Kinky Curly's Jojoba Jelly used to look like way back when. Maybe I'll try it.

Thanks AK I am frightful because our hair types are worlds apart.  I am gonna have to do more research darn it.

I've seen it at pennherb.com. I get a lot of my eo's from there. Just type Supergrow Hair Gel into the search box.

 You and me both, but it's so low on the ingredient list I figure there's a low chance of my hair smelling like a hoagie if I use it.

I am really liking the Curly Q Moist Curls I got lately! I used it on my ends of my hair when its in my twists and sealed it with Oyin BSP and it worked WONDERFULLY. It has a stream when it comes out and its a fairly thick liquid that is easy to smooth. This combo keeps my ends moist for days and just seal again. I really hope that it helps combat my constant split ends! I used shea butter once with it and while it was good, BSP is better for sealing on my hair.

I really liked this too when I  tried it the only thing that put me off was the smell, not that it isn't nice but it threw me a bit when all of the other Curls products smell coconut/vanilla-ish and this smells, well , different.
it is a good product though
