I don't know why I thought her hair was going to be natural under those wigs.  ::) She has shoulder length relaxed hair. Kinda dry looking. But healthier than most of the relaxed hair I see. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Why put a wig on relaxed hair?  It's not like she's ever seen without the wigs.  Now I have to see what it looks like.

I didn't get this either!  I blogged about it too... wondering if she was natural up until this and relaxed it before showing it to the world.  Some have even speculated that she BKT'd.

I dunno, but I was glad I saw the pics on LHCF instead of watching the show.

I didn't see the show and looks like I didn't miss anything.

Here's some "real" hair pics from her site:

Once again, a lot of natural chicks are being overly dramatic. ::)

I was reading this blog the other day and people were bitching and whining about Tyra having a relaxer. When did Tyra ever say she was gonna be natural? She said she was gonna wear her REAL hair, which she did.

Seriously. Some of these natural women set themselves up for disappointment. If mofos woulda listened to what Tyra actually SAID instead of projecting their own issues onto her, they wouldn't be so disappointed.

I won't lie, I was prepared for her hair to look a mess, but it actually looked nice.  I wasn't expecting her to have natural natural hair either...We're talking about Tyra, not Jill Scott!   Despite all the issues one may have with Tyra, I thought it was supercool that she took off the weave and rocked her real hair.  Relaxed and all, that was a huge move for her...or any Black female that's been tied to the weave, no pun intended , for decades!

I also thought her hair looked nice and still does!  It fits her face better than most of those wigs and weaves she's had in the past.  I think it makes her look younger and it's cute on her.

I'm watching an episode now (home sick). Her hair is cute.  It looks like a non-blinged out version of her lacefronts.

I think her hair looked cute  :). My only question is why did she want people to feel it for tracks ect. ? It wasn't full or overly thick looking to me. Maybe I just don't know what a natural relaxed head of hair looks like  :-\

^^^because people are such doubters... and, because many people nowadays wear weaves and wigs of shorter/"more realistic" lengths.

^^^^^^^^^^
i was gonna say the same thing, LL.  if she hadn't invited people up to come and investigate her scalp, there would have been about fiftyleven blog entries about how she was still fake mixin' somehow and it wasn't her real hair.

i caught the premiere show when they re-aired it on Oxygen earlier this week.  She mentioned that this season she will be wearing her real hair some days and other days she will switch it up and wear wigs and weaves, etc.

i think she's doing good with her real hair but i can see her falling back some days or alternating weeks so her real hair doesn't have to shoulder all that manipulation every single day.

ESPECIALLY if homeboy is going to be blowdrying and hot curling her hair.  Maybe he didn't get the memo about heat being just as damaging if one is not careful.  Those Marcel irons can get pretty hot if i remember correctly.....plus he blowdried her hair before that.  Didn't see him using a heat protectant since she came out of the break with her hair already blowdried and then later on her hair was all curled.

maybe if she wasn't so busy and had to be "on" all the time she could airdry and then do the heat styling or just roller set or do some no heat styles altogether....just my humble opinion.
