Untwisting Two Strand Twists
«

I have been wearing two strand updos for the past month and a half. I wash every other week. When it comes time to take my twists out, I noticed the ends are really tangled. Should I wet my hair with water and liberally apply leave in before untwisting. I don't want to damage my already fragile ends.

HTH- oh and if your ends are tangling really bad- you should clip them and then baby them.

My ends always tangle in twists - because they are 'out' so to speak, since my hair isn't perfectly even, and the strands are able to move freely.
I just untangle the ends, first, then untwist the twist itself.

My ends used to tangle really badly when untwisting. It was so bad, I would lose alot of hair. Now when I twist, I don't comb or brush my hair through...I just smooth on product and twist. When I unravel, the ends are smooth and untangled b/c the hairs are still clumped and undisturbed, rather than combed out, leaving room for tangles. Hope that helps!
