Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner
« on: October 21, 2009, 11:36:59 AM »
I've used this stuff eight months ago when I first purchased it, and didn't like the end result when I tried to wash and go. Yesterday I put the stuff in my hair after washing. Brushed it in with my Denman and LOVED the result, so last night I put my hair up in twists after spritzing with a little H2O. I put a little oil on my ends after twisting. I must say that I like the way the product behaved in my hair (but next time I won't use so much of it).
Just took out the twists and I like the way Mixed Chicks defined my twistout. I give this product 5 out of 5 stars.

after using MC for like a month now,
i have definitely feel indifferent about it

first, MC by itself just doesn't work for me bc i get crispys
it wouldn't be bad it all my hair was crispy
but MC only makes certain pieces crispy

second, while it gives me good hold
it leaves my hair dry
and i don't know if its the protein (my hair doesn't care for protein)
or the emulsyfing wax

third, in order to obtain really good results from MC
I have to use it ontop of Kinky Curly Knot Today
and then apply MJ Buttercreme for moisture

With me not being the one to like to try products because of the name I was a little reluctant to use Mixed Chicks. Many products that I have tried with popular names, like MJ and CD, do not work on my hair so I end up spending a lot of money on products I can't use. I digress, back to MC, for my birthday my sister bought me the whole set of MC, including the shampoo, deed conditioner and leave in conditioner. Right from the beginning I loved all 3 products. The shampoo soften the hair right up on first contact. The deep conditioner, though I have to use a lot of it, is amazing leaving hair soft and easy to detangle. And with the leave in I have awsome results everytime. I wish I tried this years ago. The directions on the leave in says it works best on clean hair free of other products. I found this to be true. i love this stuff, ordering my re-up right now.
