I was talking to an acquaintance at work earlier this week.  She currently has braids (extensions) which she is always complaining about.  So I told her I thought she should go natural.  And she laughed out loud, like as in utter disbelief, and said, "yeah, right."  And laughed some more. ???

Why is the idea of natural hair so freaking comical?

All you have to do is plant the seed. I hear that all the time, people are always talking about what they think they're hair CAN'T do.  When I ask them if they've ever seen their natural hair most of them are like duh....not really.  Next thing I know somebody is creeping up behind me to ask a boat load of questions.  I get a little tickled by it sometimes, especially when they try to make little snide remarks, then the next thing ya know they're attempting a natural look with a wash n go.  Women are a trip.  That's why I can't stand y'all sometimes!  ;)

okay okay. I have people at work asking me what do I do with my hair. I jave one natural co-worker who tells me not to cut my hair because she has and she regrets it. But I'm scared of scissors (okay so I'm fibbing a bit...I'm scissor happy). So I stay away from them when it somes to my hair. But anywhoo, it's great to inspire people isn't it? :banana:
