Ok I just got a texturizer in my hair, but it's not curly! T_T I got it a few days  ago, and I got it set with a twist, and sat under the dryer.  Before my roots where natural. I was going to wait tell I got my hair cut to get one, but  I couldn't. It's been over a year since I've had a relaxer in my hair. So Doesn't still interfere with the texturizer? And  after you get one in your hair is it suppose to be straight? I've been growing my hair out for over a year, and have had to deal with. All the kinkiness for a long time. I got a texturizer put in, so that my curls would be manageable. But I don't even get my hair straighten and it's straighter that it would be if I got a relaxer put in,and straightened! And my hair strained are a lot thinner than before and brittle. I just wanted to have cute curls that, could be straightened easily if I wanted to. Can some one please tell me what I've done wrong. I'm a black, with  for 4a, or 4b hair.. now I'm not sure what I have. U_U Did I leave it into long. I'm completely lost now. I feel like to get curly hair again, I'm going to have to cut all my hair. DX Sorry if i posted in the wrong spot, just made a account, and I'm panicking about my hair.

It does sound like you left the texturizer in too long.  If you've tried deep conditioners and that hasn't worked, it may be chemically straightened.
If you hair feels thin and brittle you'll have to give it some gentle treatment.
How did the twist set come out?  Maybe you can keep twisting it till your hair grows out again.

yea I think i did. U_U, or I used the wrong kind of texturizer. lol I thought they all did the same thing. Yea the strains are thinner,  brittle, and really straight.  i haven't tried anything yet, and don't have the money for other products. So i guess I'll just have to keep cutting my hair, so I'll go back natura . And try again later.  It was twists to the scalp, and i sat under the dryer for a while. so it came out curly, but since I've combed it, it's really straight now.

You will want to start doing some gently protein treatments........my hair happens to like protein (except for collagen) so you may want to test a few strands in the back first to make sure the hair is going to be able to take it but i would recomend either buying Lustrasilk Shea mango protein treatment or making a Carmel treatment (baby bananas/molasses/honey/castor oil/dollop deep conditioner) after doing the light protein treatment deep condition. You may have to do this for a month or so until you hair can handle a heavier treatment. This will help to build back up the strands of your hair. Sorry you had this experience good luck and happy growing!
