9 month old gets relaxer
« on: April 04, 2010, 02:47:26 AM »
If you can watch this without crying, you're a strong woman!  This has got to be one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen.  It's even more sad to know she's not alone :'(

i dont know what goes on in these people's minds that makes them think it's okay to put those strong ass chemicals in a infant's hair...forget the social implications of it...i cant get past the safety aspect.

like really...why would you even do that?  what's going on with a 9month old's hair that would justify straightening?   they dont make bows and headbands anymore?

I want to see how many cybersleuths mobilize to get Family Services involved in this situation. After all that work they did to get FS involved because of that video of mom being extra rough while combing her daughter's hair I'm sure they'll be able to track down the contact info for this woman

My goodness, that was so painful to look at. It reminded me of the Nappy A** Hair vid on YouTube. It's a bad trend to have these days where the mothers are too lazy to take care of their own kids' hair. It's terrible to think that one would have to relax a 9-month-old's hair to make it manageable. That little girl's scalp.... :-[man I'm tearing up

Wow.  This is so sad.  When I got my 1st relaxer, my beautician wouldn't even give one to an adolescent who hadn't had her cycle yet (widely-held superstition, I guess) let alone to a baby.  What is wrong with people?  And why did the mom put those heavy bows on her head too?
1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Praying for the baby now, that somewhere in energy of regeneration, her scalp heals and her hair grows back... Everything has a chance to come back, so hopefully this will be the case for her.

Dayum....that's just SAD.  I couldn't even watch it once I saw the back of that childs head and the bald spot.

Her momma needs her ass BEAT for that mess right there...
extremely thick, kinky, coils and curls that have a mind of thier own.
