LOVE IT.

I'm highly skeptical and usually disappointed by leave-ins and liquid stylers/moisturizers. They tend to be either too watery, too thick or leave an awful residue. And they are somewhat overpriced - especially the natural ingredient ones. Thus, I wasn't expecting much from the Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus Milk now available at Target for $9.99, 8oz.

But I was really impressed. I used it on dry hair after 1 day of wearing my hair out on a rainy day - a mess. I used it to moisturize, detangle, and braid. The texture mimics Carol's Daughter's Hair Milk - thin enough to spread and seep right into your curls, but also thick enough to coat your stands sufficiently. No greasy, or chalky residue. Slight hold for some definition - not enough to style medium to long 3c-4b hair from scratch- but enough to touch up 2nd-3rd day dry hair. I really liked how soft and natural looking my curls felt afterward.

Overall, it's a high quality product and cheap enough ($9.99) for me to definitely buy on a regular basis. Target is only a few blocks away from me!

Hmm...this sounds like it might be a good replacement for the discontinued CG-version of the Jamaican Mango & Lime leave-in.
