curls for boys
« on: April 25, 2010, 10:29:30 AM »
Does anyone see a trend in boys getting their hair curled, as a hairdresser we have several boys with longish hair cut in more of a girls style and having it curled. Most of the boys have pierced ears and are very fond of their girly looks and locks. Has anyone else seen any thing like this going on or have you even curled a boys hair. Also has anyone seen boys wearing any accessories in their hair.
Hi I'm Steve a 22 yr old gay and very femmine hairdresser with long blond hair with highlights. If you want to know more just ask

Really?  I haven't seen that.  I have seen boys with long hair and confused them for girls, but it's not usually styled like that.

ITA w/Pixie. I've seen little boys with cornrows and braids that were confused for girls, no curls in boys' hair seen in my part of the country yet. When my little brother was a toddler, he was taken as a little girl alot (until he got his first haircut) b/c my mother always braided his hair.

hmmm.... well what about Jaden Smith? Is that what you mean? I haven't seen him with accessories yet, but his hair is definitely styled the way a lot of women wear their hair.

So you could be on to something......

Curlygem I agree with you about Jadens hair styles, some of them are definetly very feminine looking and could have been curled  that way. He does look cute with his girly hair and I would love to see him continue to let it grow.
