Hairveda Product Issue
« on: May 01, 2010, 10:39:19 pm »
Hey ladies, I need some advice on how to work around some issues that my hairveda products. When there is a sell of course I stock up (don't we all)  ;)
Well, I am having an issue with a product separating. I use Whipped Cream 3: 1 Ends Hydration, Leave In & Moisturizer. What I am expericing is it lacks the creamy whipped texture, it is like pouring water out of a bottle (or milk). I wanted to know if anyone can think of something I can mix it with to balance (whip it up?
The product is phenomenal when it works, but a zero in this state. I will be contacting hairveda to request an exchange ( hoping they see me as a valued customer).  ;D

Did you purchase a couple of weeks ago  (from that 4/16 - 4/18 sale)? What formula did you request? As far as I know, customers could still request original formula of the 3 in 1 whipped cream. I still have some of my whipped cream in the original formula (2 bottles left) and the ingredients haven't separated as of yet.
Do you like to use refined shea butter? That's the only thing that I have been using to " thicken up" certain hair products and make them stretch a little more before I have to repurchase. I used soapgoods.com refined shea butter (b/c it doesn't have the nutty smell, and it blends well with a fork) with hairveda's Green tea hair & body butter during the fall/winter, and that mixture still works like a charm. That's one of my year-round butter mixes. I think I posted a related topic on this site.

Yes it is probably the new formula. She will probably send you a new bottle. Have you tried putting it in the fridge after shaking it real good to get it back to its other consistency?

Thanks curly gem and gmw, I did contact them and that was the recommendation I received. I am now storing them in the fridge. If I purchase again, I will request the old formula because this stuff is nothing I want to purchase again.
I mix it with the green tea butter also, but this was even cancelling out the gtb because it was so milky. Truth is, I love hairveda products, but this has left a sour taste in my mouth. I know there is something different because I have a semi empty bottle that I have had over 18 mos and it has never separated.
