Devacurl set up and above

Has anybody tried this?

I recently got a jar and have set it aside to use for special occassions. I love the way this makes my hair look. It make my hair look perfect.

The reason I say it's only for special times is because it makes my hair feel crunchy, almost staw like. Most times I want my hair to feel as soft and fluffy as it looks, but when going to a wedding I just need it to look good.

When used, I applied it to my wet hair after spraying it with a leave-in. Does anyone know how to use this product without getting the crunch? TIA

I have never seen this product, but the end result (crunchy) sounds similar to KCCC. The ususal solution is to layer a product beneath or on top of the styler, like an oil (olive, castor, coconut) or butter. Some place 2 additional products beneath the styler....leave-in:moisturizer:butter or oil:styler. Of course, placing the oil/butter after the styler will fluff your curls a little. Another solution is to dilute the product with water, if this is possible, or maybe use a creamier leave-in or leave a moisturizing conditioner on the hair instead of rinsing. Enjoy experimenting with your hair before the wedding- make sure the product plays well with others.

I personally used shea or avocado butter between my leave-in and KCCC with good results. I'm now using a moisturizer (QB BRBC) and a different styler (CJ Aloe Fix)...good results.

4a (fine texture, thin density, normal porosity), non-CG.
