Kinky Curly at Target
« on: August 24, 2010, 02:37:45 PM »
The rumors are true - Kinky Curly products are now being sold at Target according to the Kinky Curly website.

I have yet to visit to see it in the store, but I think this is great!

It is so nice to see products for natural hair, naturally curly hair, in major stores. That shows how much an important part of the economy we are. I haven't seen Kinky Curly at Target yet, but it is also being sold at Wholefoods.

I miss Target.  I'm looking forward to the end of the boycott.

Why the boycott?

Target gave money to the campaign of an anti-gay/"traditional marriage" supporter who also believes that pharmacist should be allowed to deny birth control to women.
Best Buy also gave money.
I feel like, if I support a cause I have to support it on the good days and the bad.  I've also realized how little I actually NEED from Target, and have been able to get the same items (sometimes at a better price) from other, smaller stores.
So, it's a win-win for the boycott and my pocketbook.

I was just at the Target on Shopper's Lane and saw the KCCC right next to the Shea Moisture line. FABULOUS. They sell the smaller jars of the custard and the entire line.

Kinky Curly is at Target along with tons of other popular hair products for naturally curly hair. However, I watched a video of someone who has a 3c/4a hair type and she compared Kinky Curly to Fantasia IC styling gel and you could not see a difference at all. There is a huge difference in price and maybe there is a difference in feel, but I have yet to consider spending that money on KC! I’ve tried the Fantasia IC gel and my hair (type 3c) feels great with it!

If I'm not too heavy handed Kinky Curly, makes my hair feel more moisturized than Fantasia.  Fantasia has more hold though.  Great for a pony puff.
