« on: September 02, 2010, 08:07:53 AM »
Hello all....well i have being doing wet set twists and I love that but i decided to save a failed twist out and do this look i saw on another forum and it was cool and then I did a bun with a poof up front.........thats it those are my 2 hair styles I can do at this very moment on my stretched hair. Anybody have some ideas for easy styling on stretched (not heat stretched) hair?  ;D ;D ;D

Sometimes I just let my stretched out hair be wild.  I really like the BAA it allows me.  It's not good for protecting your ends though.
I've done the 40's bun/poof and I like that a lot.  Maybe an updo of some sort?
I'm looking for new styles for my stretched out hair too.  If I find anything different I'll let you know.

For me, now that i'm actually getting the hang of it...i like bantu knot outs.
I just take my regular wash n' go after i'm tired of wearing it and carefully make sections and spritz until damp then use something moisturizing *for me it's been ohm sweet hair pudding/tonight i used wet set hair pudding* and make a few knots on in my hair.

I'm not very good at the knots but i've still been getting pretty good results!

Do you have pictures?  I've been thinking about doing knots.  My mom used to bantu knot my hair on wash days when I was little.

Yeah pixie, just check out my album..

ETA: Oh pixie i just checked my albums and i don't have pictures of the actual knots, just the results. But if you wanna see the knots (which suck) i can try to remember to take pics the next time i do them.

It looks great!
I saw a couple of knots in your album?  You just did the two?  Your hair is so long and pretty.

The ones with two are when i'm just stretching my hair to keep it less tangled.
The one that actually came out decent was done on damp hair and i made..about 5. I'm lazy so anymore than 6 and i quit l0l.

Oh, and thank you!

Pixie, if you see this i'm going to upload some pics of my knots in my album probably tomorrow. I don't know how the results are going to look, but you can at least get a visual for how mine look.

The outcome looks great!  I like that your hair is just stretched not straight.  I love it!  Nice shiny curls.  I saw your captions and I think you judge your work too harshly.
What is this Twisted Plum stuff you used?

l0l i mean it was cute to put up in a ponytail or updo, but just to wear down...i wasn't feeling it. I liked my other set better, but thank you..glad u think they look nice!

And the product was from Darcy's Botanicals. It's the glycerin free avocado and wild plum twisting cream..check out her site if you haven't already. She has some nice looking stuff.

Thanks for the suggestion drugz! I have been scared of trying bantu knots after a failed attempt on relaxed hair but now I think I will give it a try and see how it turns out  ;D
